This painting is about whatever it is that is between life and death. It's a window to our inevitable fate. It's not intended to be negative or sad. Death is a part of life. Without death there would be no life. Death is everywhere. It's in the leafs on the ground, in the dead insects on your window sill, in almost every isle at grocery store... It's everywhere. So this is a reminder of reality and a celebration of life.
